When The Broom Sweeps The Sweeper.

When The Broom Sweeps The Sweeper.

Ekoja Jesse

There used to be a time when you hopped on facebook and all you see is slaying pic poses and captions only rams might understand. As it is today, almost all of Nigeria's youths are doing one creative stuff or the other on the internet.
This points to the fact that the effects of bad governance has never been this felt nor expressed Since our Pseudo-independence.
Thanks to the Freedom of Information Bill?
We have continued to be brave in expressing our disenfranchisement with The Sorry State of the affairs In our dear Nation.
Nation building is a collective effort. However, others have decided to seat, watch and wait for Godot.
Some of us have taken Initiative, maybe out of harsh love for the motherland?, we have taken   decision, which is  to enlighten our people. What do we get? In return they accuse us of hate speech. Some of us have been Threatened via inbox and seldom times even physical intimidation have been employed, e no get as e dey be pass.
For the ones who won't budge from truth telling despite intimidation, cheers.
Truly, these are our real heroes. When you fight to die, you actually stand to gain nothing, you fight for what you believe in, die for a cause, for generations we won't even see but then, big up if you are a hero. This is love. For no other law supersedes that love among countrymen.

For one, I have never hidden my desire for a great and more united Nigeria, I have continued to believe in it, passionate that with the right policies, the right implementation scheme, and the right frame of mind of our people, Futuristic progress can be recorded.
But these are mere dreams, wishful thinking and like they say "if wishes had wings, we'd all fly to heaven with each being, king". It is a beer parlour believe, an irresponsible way to see things, a naive way to reason, that you can plant corn and harvest rice.
You well?
Our very foundations are been shook with political shenanigans' schemes poorly executed it leaves their integrity claim smelling, yes, those ones whose lust for wealth and power leave death on our doorstep and starvation on our memories, people who must rule because power is their innate thing?
Our very unity is even bearly feasible on paper.
Our economy is a bad day at the circus with all entertainers focussed on proving professional points and abilities rather than entertain a paying audience. Our journalism and awareness systems is seriously under threat, no one respects court orders anymore, in summary, our education is pulling us behind the world, our electoral process is a Mess, a shabby deal Between godfathers (corrupt public office holder) So called representatives of the people, our people.
Our education serves the same roles AKs served in both world wars except, this time, it is an elite with the trigger and the masses on the other end. Not Hitler going ballistic on the Jew's, Nah, this is different, This is abominable, like Hitler going berserk on Germans.
Our Academic institutions are an Oppressive system, a system that tells us why we need to work hard. Ehen? So that these thieves can give us peanuts as salaries? we work our asses up while they sleep, We fight all the time while they educate their children, we differ, while they unite, they tell us they understand our plights, how?  How is that even possible?
Have you ever gone to bed hungry?
Ever woke up to an empty day with the best promise a free haircut?
Ever had your children sent home from school for owing fees?
Have your daughter ever slept with men for school fees?
How can you understand our plights?
Our social ways are marred by prejudice, our interests are forced to Collapse, other cases dreams have had to die, and our collective destiny, completely in doubt.
To point fingers is a misplacement of priorities, to blame is a weakling's gate pass, to fight is termed frustration and Keeping quiet is death.
However, to understand tomorrow, yesterday must be re-lived, past sins revealed and efforts invested.
We can continue to live like this forever, that is, Harvest corn Because we had earlier planted corn though rice is desired. Unless we decide to plant rice, we can never harvest rice when we've sown corn. A thorough analysis of this claim was exhibited at our World Cup outing, just concluded African championship hosted by Okowa.
That we say youth leadership, all we mean is that newer terms and conditions of our unity be re-veiwed to suit the times at hand, times have changed Penincillin is a very effective antibiotic with a wide action spectrum, but development of resistance by microbes have undermined this effectivity, over time that is.
For 58 years and more, these same guys have been there, applying old tricks in a modern world. For 58 years their policies produced nothing, their errs too inhuman for divine intervention. They have goofed, they have killed, destroyed values, just for how much long?
It is time to take charge of our nation's affairs, review and amend the constitution to suit our times.
The good things with bad things is that it creates this awareness and once there's awareness there's intelligence and manipulation is repelled.
Maybe the APC was caught in the mix? Rubbish they are all at the APC, same people that have retarded our progress, still regarding our progress?
It is time for the sweeper to be swept away, IDC but,
“Whether it is Maina; the NNPC $25 billion scam; Babachir’s grass cutter scam; Amina Mohammed’s $300 million timber scandal; Ogbonnaya Onu’s N111m self payment from      Energy Commission of Nigeria’s account;  the N700 million Fayemi’s ministry of mines and steel website; Buratai’s Dubai house; the Ikoyi billions; the budget padding scandal, the missing budget scandal; no Paracetamol in the State House Clinic scandal; the famous MTN N500m bribery with Abba Kyari in which MTN SouthAfrica has sacked its Nigeria CEOs involved, the fact remains that the Buhari administration has delivered more corruption than change to the Nigerian people.

All of them perpetuated by old men, grand fathers in some cases.

  1. Wow! Wow!! Wow!!!
    Magnificent! Truly magnificent!!
Ekoja Jesse you captured all that is wrong with Nigeria and this epidemic regime.

This is a statement of huge consequence, substance and significance. Personally, I don't think that there's a way back to a better Nigeria without Restructuring it first. We all have a choice to make it's either we choose a restructured Nigeria or we stick with a nation marred in chaos, anarchy and doom. It's as easy as that.
