The unauthorized takeover of the NASS complex today is a gross violation of the rule of law and all acceptable notions of law and order.

As a start, I have directed that the appointment of the DG of the DSS, Mr. Lawal Daura be terminated.

He has been directed to hand over to the most Senior Officer in the State Security Service.
Lawal Daura has been arrested and detained, after vice-president, Yemi Osinbajo sacked him as the Director-General of the Department of State Security (DSS) on Tuesday.
